We Believe
Everything we have begins with and belongs to God and He is generous, giving us Jesus, His first and best. Therefore, we believe that generous giving pleases and honours God, breaks the power that money may have over us and is an important form of worship. (Romans 12:8, 2 Corinthians 8:2-4, 2 Corinthians 9:2-7, 10-11)
Biblical giving allows blessing to flow in the life of believers, yet our hearts are prone to turn towards our treasure therefore we must be reminded of laying up heavenly treasures. (Matthew 6:19-20, Luke 6:37-38, Proverbs. 3:9)
We are stewards to serve God and not ourselves, therefore we follow scripture and the Holy Spirit in giving and, in particular, will encourage people to give regularly, spontaneously, systematically, and sacrificially and without compulsion as an act of obedience. (1 Samuel 15:22, Matthew 6:1 & 4, 1 Corinthians 16:2, 2 Corinthians 9:5-7)
Generosity breaks the power of greed, releasing the blessings of God.
